Hi, I’m Nona.
A statistically improbable product of God’s grace.
I was born to a mother who regularly reminded me she didn’t want me as a child. When her boyfriend started sexually abusing me at five years old, I didn’t tell her because he told me she would get rid of me if I did. But, at the age of seven, I worked up the courage to tell her what was happening to me and she had him arrested. I thought it was over… until the day of his release from jail.
My mother took me with her to pick him up, and brought him back home. The abuse resumed shortly thereafter, but after she brought him back knowing what he had done to me, I never said anything again. She became physically and emotionally abusive to me, leading me to try and end my life at the ages of nine and eleven.
But God.
I have spent the last twenty years of my life proving that the Word of God is true. Isaiah 61:3 says, “To all who mourn in Israel he will give: beauty for ashes; joy instead of mourning; praise instead of heaviness.” I don’t look like what I’ve been through because God is real.
Through the grace of God, I have:
- Held multiple senior executive roles for national and global companies, scaling organizations and pioneering new business models.
- Sold tens of thousands of books, including Killing Comparison, Success from the Inside Out, and my forthcoming book, The Gift of Rejection.
- Had millions of people view my YouTube messages, with thousands of comments affirming life change as a result.
- Coached thousands of people to achieve their goals through my web-based, group coaching, and 1:1 coaching programs.
- Been married to my husband for almost 20 years.
- Raised two handsome, smart, God-loving sons.
What I am most grateful for is the knowledge that my life has been used by God to help people like you (and me) realize that nothing you have done and nothing that has happened to you has placed you beyond the reach of God’s grace. And, most important, the knowledge that I am nothing more than a product of God’s grace has kept me grounded, humble, and honored to be used for his purpose all of these years.
